Arjuna (Terminalia Arjuna) is a medicinal plant broadly used in Ayurveda for the patients suffering from Heart Ailments. Arjuna improves cardiac muscle function and pumping actions of the heart. Arjuna is very effective when used regularly over a period of time for the treatment of angina, coronary artery disease, heart failure, edema, and possibly hypercholesterolemia. Externally, this herb has been used to treat acne, blemishes, wounds, dysentery, and diarrhea. It is very good source of calcium.
Bark is a cardiac tonic, lowers cholesterol and is used in urinary retention and diabetes. It is also used in fever and skin diseases. It is used in bilious affections, for sores and as an antidote to poison.
